Over the years the company had acquired enough experience, knowledge and confidence to venture into licence production of small aircraft. This was in keeping with the company's vision of creating an environment in India where Sport Aviation would be available to everyone at an affordable cost.

Agni Aviation ventured into the production of Microlight aircraft in the year 2000 in collaboration with Aircraft Manufacturing and Development Company and Zenith Aircraft Company, both of USA as also Czech Aircraft Works of the Czech Republic. The Company undertook the assembly of the Zen Air STOL CH 701 and the Zen Air 601. The assembly line is located at Jakkur airfield. Air Experience flights are available for the public with prior appointments in conformity with the regulations.

Agni Aviation bid for and won the Single Largest Aircraft Manufacturing Order FOR MICRO LIGHT AIRCRAFT IN THE WORLD - to manufacture and supply 105 'Zenair STOL CH 701' aircraft to the NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC) of India. The order includes the training of a core group of pilots for the NCC. With 54 aircraft delivered to date and an output of 3 aircraft per month (to be increased to 5 per month by year end), the company is geared up to the future.
